Public Free Clinic Society (PFCS) was founded in 1974 at Upper Boon Keng.

The first branch clinic was set-up in 1979 at Blk 465 of Crawfort Street. (Stopped operation in 1992)

The second branch clinic was set-up in 1981 at Bukit Pasoh Road. (Stopped operation in 1994)

A mobile division was set-up in 1983.

The fund-raising committee was found in 1988.

PFCS purchased a 3-storey shop house at Lorong 8 Geylang designated as the hospital site in 1993.

A 3-storey building at Lorong 22 was purchased as the PFCS head-quarter in 1997.

MOH approved PFCS as an IPC.

Tampines branch clinic was opened in 2001.

Geylang Lorong 9 HQ was inaugurated in 2006.

Home TCM Treatment (HTT) was established in 2008.

Clementi branch clinic was opened in 2009.

Jurong branch clinic was opened in 2012.
